You’ve seen PUSH – you know all about our collaborative, creative process. Now learn to do it for yourself. Have something else you want to learn? Leave a message in the comments and we’ll help.

These videos are free for everyone but you have to do us a favor in return - On YouTube - LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT and hit the NOTIFICATION BELL and SHARE with your friends. That will help us to keep making more of these.

Educators: Try playing a video at the beginning of your class as a starting point for a class exercise or assignment. If your students come up with anything they would like to share, make a response video and let us know about it! We LOVE stuff like that.

“How can you make these videos for free?”

Well, we can’t. Creating, writing, shooting, editing is expensive. It only happens because people just like you donate generously. If you need training and can’t afford to give, don’t worry, we have you covered. Stop reading and go watch those videos. For the rest of you…read on:

PUSH has been prioritizing projects that address loneliness and social isolation. In addition to the mental health consequences, chronic loneliness carries the same physical health risks as smoking 15 cigarettes per day [i]. While we know that social distancing is crucial for containing the COVID-19 pandemic, we also know that isolation comes with challenging and difficult effects. Real-time, in-person access to the arts and arts education has all but disappeared as colleges, schools, and arts organizations close their doors. Audiences, performing arts teachers, professors and students need a community in order to collaborate. There is just no good substitute for that deep human connection.

What PUSH is doing:

You’ve seen PUSH – you know all about our collaborative, creative process. We are determined to help by producing a series of physical theatre training videos for everyone who needs to keep their education going during this difficult time. Right now the young people in our communities are being asked to engage in the social fight of their generation. Some are confused and frightened, but they all have a story to tell. We can give them the training to develop their voice to tell those stories and connect with their communities. And we at PUSH will also benefit from connecting with students through encouragement and instruction at a time when our performances have been postponed indefinitely.

We have decided that the videos MUST be:

  • Free for everyone – those in financial hardship will likely be struggling even more during this time.

  • Easily accessible – We will post the videos on social media sites so that everyone can watch and share.

  • Connective – we will actively engage with students and teachers to answer questions and link with other free resources.

What YOU can do:

Our friends at Airigami have generously agreed to share their studio to film the videos. We still need funding for some equipment and for our teaching artists to write, develop and create each video. We have the vision, but we need your help to find the resources. Together, we can connect our community through creative physical theatre training at the following giving levels:

  • $2,000

  • $1,000

  • $500

  • $100

  • $50

  • $10

  • $5
